Explore Mila's

If you ever find yourself passing through Hinigaran in Negros Occidental, one spot I’d personally recommend checking out is Mila's. Located conveniently along the National Road, it’s the kind of place that blends the feel of a casual café with the satisfying experience of a local dining favorite. The atmosphere tends to be lively, especially during peak hours, which speaks a lot about its popularity among both locals and travelers.

What really stands out here is the variety of dishes offered at prices that feel more than reasonable for the quality you get. Their menu features a strong lineup of Filipino comfort food, and there are a few standout items that I always hear people talk about-and for good reason. The dinuguan is rich and deeply flavorful, while the cansi delivers that perfect balance of sour and savory that warms you up instantly. If you’re into grilled dishes, the pork barbecue is a must-try, tender and well-marinated with just the right hint of smokiness.

But what truly sets this place apart for me is their baked goods and desserts. The potato cake is something special-soft, buttery, and incredibly satisfying with every bite. It has that homemade quality that makes it feel comforting yet indulgent. Pair that with their buko pie, which offers a creamy coconut filling encased in a light, flaky crust, and you’ve got a combination that’s hard to forget. There’s a noticeable sense of care in how these are made, which adds to the overall experience of dining here.

Whether you’re stopping by for a full meal or just craving something sweet, Mila’s offers a well-rounded experience that reflects both local flavor and genuine hospitality.

Nice place to buy pasalubong on the way to either Negros Occ or Oriental. Very cozy and traditional looking Filipino cafe. You can order food to eat like beef soup and mixed vegetables. As well as a number of treats like pizza bites and chicken pie. And of course their signature royal bibingka, and many other sweets such as potato cake. Its easy to access since its right on the highway in downtown Hinigaran, however it'll be difficult to find parking nearby. The place inside is quite spacious despite looking very cute from the outside. And its decor is really quaint and speaks to the era that it was started.

Mila's is the signature restaurant in the Municipality of Hinigaran. Best place to eat & making stop overs if you're taking a road trip through out Negros Occidental. Potato Cake & Bichukoy are the best sellers.

The potato cake is very, very good. Food options are limited. Fish limited to Bangus and Tinolang Isda. Vegetarian? Sorry, the talong has ground meat in it (we asked what and the waitress said it was ground beef). Toilets are clean. Parking is limited.

We went around late in the afternoon and had buko pie, bichokoy, batchoy, pansit and sotanghon guisado, and bibingka. We are all satisfied with the food.

Hands down, the best potato cake and buko pie I’ve ever had! The potato cake was rich, buttery, and just melts in your mouth, while the buko pie had the perfect balance of creamy filling and flaky crust. You can really taste the care in every bite.

Mila's is a cozy haven for Filipino comfort food, and their Bichokoy is a standout star. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, this twisted donut is pure nostalgia in every bite. Pair it with their savory pancit or golden lumpiang shanghai, and you’ve got a meal that hits all the right notes. The flavors are rich, the portions generous, and the warmth of the staff makes every visit feel like coming home. Mila’s doesn’t just serve food—they serve memories.
